Geographical Bible Study

Sundays 9-9:45 am (Oct 10 - Dec 12)

The Bible is full of the names towns, regions, geographic features that the Biblical authors used in telling God's story. Jesus spent forty days (and nights) in the wilderness; what was that like? Joshua led his troops from Gilgal in the Jordan Valley to Gibeon in an overnight "forced" march; how tough of a march was that? Using two videos by John Beck, pictures taken in Israel, and material from a three week course at the Jerusalem University College; Joe Prillwitz will share information that will help your reading of the Bible "come alive". The class, which will be quite informal, will meet upstairs in the Northeast classroom, @ 9:00am Sundays, but don't hesitate to walk in after the class has started.
