a new sense of PURPOSE
Do you feel like something is missing? Have you been searching for something, yet never seem to find it? Do you feel lost, overwhelmed, and tired day after day?
God made you unique. You have gifts and talents that God gave you so that you can accomplish the purpose He has for you. When we share our spiritual gifts, we find purpose.
At Living Vine, we want to help you discover God’s call on your life. We encourage everyone to take the free test.
a new source of Power
At Living Vine, we say Christianity is NOT hard, it's IMPOSSIBLE! God purposely designed our faith walk with Him to be impossible unless we are leaning on Him and empowered by His Holy Spirit.
When we share our spiritual gifts, we find power we never knew we had. By fulfilling God's purpose, He will fill you with energy - the power of the Holy Spirit.
We experience amazing fulfillment when we use the gifts God has given us to make a difference in our church, our community, and in our family.
a new set of priorities
The most important thing doesn’t always get the first priority—but it should. What will it take to stop being distracted by the urgent and start focusing on the meaningful? Today, let’s slow down, surrender and put God FIRST.

breaking it down - what it means to put god first
Prayer: Dear Heavenly Father, You deserve to be first in every area of my life. Help me to learn to prioritize You as never before in every area of my life so that I can draw closer to You and experience Your supernatural peace, power and provision in my life. In the name of Jesus. Amen.
When you come to Living Vine, you may notice we don’t pass around an offering plate. Why?
We want to encourage you to joyfully and selflessly give, not put you under pressure to put something in the offering plate as it’s passed around.
We accomplish this with our Blessing Box located in the auditorium and through Online Giving.
Why do we tithe? Tithing is about gratitude.
Tithing is an act of faith. It's not easy to part with your hard-earned money, but tithing is one way we can show our faith in God and that He will bless us for what we give Him. God promises blessings in return for your gifts.
If you give the Lord 10% of all you own, He has promised to open His windows and pour out blessings on you (Malachi 3:10).
That's because everything comes from Him anyway! Your gift is greatly multiplied. It helps build the kingdom. You are helping to further the work of God in your community and worldwide. God loves it when we give cheerfully, especially to those who need it most (2 Corinthians 9:7; D&C 104:15).
Seek God's Kingdom over your own interests. “But first, be concerned about his kingdom and what has his approval. Then all these things will be provided for you” (Matt. 6:33). Jesus understood that we are drawn to worry like buzzards are drawn to roadkill. We worry about our health, what we’ll eat, where we’ll sleep, and even about what we’ll wear. He told His disciples not to worry over those things. Instead, put God’s concerns first, and He will take care of us.
To put God first means to love Him more than anyone or anything else. It means to choose how you use your time with Him in mind. However, putting God first on our list of responsibilities and interests isn't easy - how do we always put God first when sick children demand our attention or work deadlines hang over our heads?
Instead of looking at God as the first on a long list of commitments, it may help to picture your life as a pie cut into slices with God as the hub. Making Him the center means His influence permeates every slice your my life. As circumstances change, God will lead you to invest more time and energy into different pie slices. Sick children require more attention. Some projects will cut into time that would normally be allocated to other areas. God directs and empowers all our time according to the need at hand.
When our heart is pointed toward God and our relationship with Him is right, this will overflow into other relationships in our lives and impact how we treat others. This applies to all different types of relationships such as personal relationships with family members, friends, acquaintances, coworkers, classmates or significant others.
It is essential that we prioritize God in our relationships, no matter the connection. He should be the most important person in our lives and His word can help guide us on how to love and respect others. Through deepening our relationship with Him, we can better care about those around us.
By shifting our focus more to spending time with Jesus, we will do better at acknowledging Him throughout every moment of every day. Much like we have specified times for work or hanging out with a friend, we can schedule time with God to ensure the engagement.
When we’re hurting or struggling, or feeling rejected or our finances are failing, or we’re having conflict with people or when life seems to be falling apart, prayer should not be our last resort but our first option.
Psalm 46:1
says, “God is our refuge and strength, always ready to help in times of trouble.”
Jesus said that when we put God FIRST in our lives, He will take care of our needs when we
pray and ask Him to do so. So let’s put that principle into practice into tangible ways in the
coming days.
